He first received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1976 (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa). He then attended law school at Florida State University, where he received his juris doctorate in 1979.

Following law school, Mr. Berry worked as a prosecutor in Lakeland, Florida, and in Naples, Florida. In 1984, he went into private practice and has been defending the Constitution and the wrongfully accused ever since.

Michael (Mike) Hopkins is an associate attorney at Berry, Day & McFee. Mr. Hopkins joined the firm after serving as an Assistant State Attorney in Naples where he prosecuted primarily DUI cases.

He received his law degree at Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington (J.D., 2005), where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, the National Moot Court Team, and the editorial staff of the Federal Communications Law Journal.

Mr. Hopkins earned a graduate degree in school administration from Murray State University (M.Ed., 2002). His undergraduate degree was awarded from the same institution (B.A., magna cum laude, 1997).

Before law school, Mr. Hopkins taught high school history and coached varsity football for several years. He is admitted to practice in Florida.
